I went to the Hemet VMX Exhibit last weekend. The sun was out in force but it was pretty a cool scene. Lots of old bikes looking very shiny. The pictures on this page show some of the highlights but there are almost 200 pictures, with several pictures of the same bike, but not in any order or even grouped by bike. It was all random as I walked through many times. The bikes were really cool and there were many familiar faces there from CALVMX. It would have been cool if they had a ride around lane so the exhibitors could ride around and you could hear the bikes run. Perhaps they wouldn't want to though.

Some of the highlights for me were,

• Montesa with the short pipe
• Matchless, silver and red, probably a personal favorite
• Bultaco vertcal radial head
• Maico 501, small stinger on pipe
• Bultaco Frontera, sweet and has CA plate too
• Indian external, open air kickstart gears
• Old bikes had more plumbing than today's water cooled bikes
• Eric's CZ 360 Sidepipe
• Harley with fork "like" rear shocks
• Norton Wasp Sidehack, Bertus'
• Puch, twin carb
• and more .................
